Semifinal Game #1
UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio- Columbus Academy (20-0-0) defeated Cincinnati Ursuline Academy (13-5-1) 3-0 in the first semifinal game of the 2018 OHSAA field hockey tournament Friday at Upper Arlington High School.
 
Vikings senior Mercedes Crestanello brought in the first score with 3:15 left in the first half. Crestanello scored the second point with 26:03 left in the second half and again with 15:30 left.
 
This marks the 22nd time the Vikings have made it to the OHSAA field hockey state tournament.

Semifinal Game #2
UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio- Hudson (17-3-0) defeated Worthington Thomas Worthington (18-2-0) 1-1, in a game that was decided on penalty strokes 3-2.
 
Worthington senior Sarah Charley brought in the first point of the game, assisted by Bella Avila, with 25:50 left in the first half. The second point was scored by Carolina Forol and was appointed by a stroke, tying the game.
 
The game went into two overtimes, and remained scoreless. After overtime, the game went to penalty strokes where it remained tied, heading to sudden victory penalty strokes when Hudson topped Thomas Worthington 3-2.
 
This marks the Explorers 15th time in the OHSAA field hockey state tournament.

Championship Game
UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio- Columbus Academy (21-0-0) defeated Hudson (17-4-0) 3-0 in the championship game of the 2018 OHSAA Field Hockey tournament Saturday at Upper Arlington High School.
 
The first point of the game came from junior Gurby Vaziri with 22:21 left in the first half followed by teammate Charlette Adams (assisted by Regan Cornelius) with 5:58 in the first. Jenny L’Hommedieu (assisted by Carolyn Bowman) brought in the last point for the Vikings with 8:04 left in the second half.
 
It marks the Vikings 11th OHSAA Field Hockey state championship.
