2009 STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING TOURNAMENT
MEDIA CREDENTIALS POLICIES

1.)   District Tournament Requests: notify the district tournament site managers to arrange for media credentials. Click here to go to swimming and diving to access district tournament information. Then click on the district you are covering. Tournament site manager's contact information is located there.

2.)    State Tournament Media Credential Information

DATES: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25, 26, 27 and 28
LOCATION: C.T. Branin Natatorium (2323 17th St. N.W., Canton 44708)
DIRECTIONS: The natatorium is located at Canton McKinley High School, which is just off I-77 by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. Take the Fulton Rd. exit (exit 107) off of I-77. If coming from the south, turn left (west) onto Fulton Rd. Go under I-77, pass Halter Ave. N.W. and Barr Ave. N.W. and turn left onto Blake Ave. N.W. If coming from the north, cross Fulton Rd. and head directly onto Blake Ave. N.W. Blake Ave. dead ends into 17th St. N.W., and the school and natatorium will be on your immediate left.
TIMES AND FORMAT: Diving competition begins Wednesday with girls Division II preliminaries, semifinals and finals begin at 9:00 a.m., and boys Division II preliminaries, semifinals and finals begin at noon. Thursday, girls Division I preliminaries, semifinals and finals begin at 9:00 a.m. and the boys Division I preliminaries, semifinals and finals begin at noon
. Preliminaries in swimming events begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday for boys and girls Division II, followed by a 5:00 p.m. start time for preliminaries in boys and girls Division I. Finals for boys and girls Division II start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, followed by a 5:00 p.m. start time for boys and girls Division I.
CREDENTIAL REQUESTS: Fax your request form to Tim Stried at the OHSAA office (614-267-1677) as soon as you know you will be covering the state tournament. If you do not know your plans now, fax in your request as soon as possible following the conclusion of district tournament action. The deadline to submit credential application requests is noon Tuesday, Feb. 24. The OHSAA will post a list on its web site of those media members who have requested and been approved for credentials. The list will be posted by noon Wednesday, Feb. 25. Once you access the web site (www.ohsaa.org), the list can be found under the “OHSAA News & Media” dropdown box.
PARKING: Media parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and is available adjacent to the high school and natatorium.
CREDENTIAL PICK UP: Credentials will be held at the media pass gate at the north entrance to the natatorium.
WORK AREA: A media work area is available on deck level just past the diving boards.
TELEPHONES: There are six media telephones in the media work room, which can be used for collect, credit card or toll-free calls only. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis.
YOUR HOSTS: A media coordinator will assist you with your needs. Also available will be tournament manager Sam Seiple, plus Deborah B. Moore, the OHSAA assistant commissioner who oversees swimming and diving, or Steve Neil, OHSAA assistant commissioner.

1.  A listing of credential requests that have been received by the OHSAA is posted here. Do not call the OHSAA. The list will be updated daily by 4:00 p.m., please refresh or reload the list every time you view it to ensure you are viewing the latest update.

2.  A list of approved credential requests and complete instructions for pick-up and parking are listed here. You will not receive a fax back confirmation, instead this is your notification. Do not call the OHSAA. The list will be updated daily by 4:00 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, February 24. Please refresh or reload the list every time you view it to insure you are viewing the latest update.

- Branin Natatorium is located at Canton McKinley High School, which is located just off I-77 by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton (1835 Harrison Ave. N.W.). Take the Fulton Rd. exit (exit 107, S.R. 687) off of I-77 and turn left (west) toward Fulton Rd. Continue straight onto Blake Ave. N.W. and follow the signs to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
