Congratulations on your interest in becoming a registered OHSAA official.  Before you embark on this great opportunity you must be sure that you are able to commit many hours of study and physical conditioning in order to become a competent official.

Below is a list of certified officiating instructors whom you should contact in order to enroll in an officiating class.  Instructors are listed in order by city.  Please locate an instructor that lives closest to you and contact the instructor to obtain a class schedule, enroll and to have any questions you may have answered. 

The class requirements include approximately 25 hours of training during which you will be required to complete two hours of written exams as well as four hours of practical officiating experience.  The objective of the class is to provide each official with the ability to officiate 7th-8th, 9th and reserve level contests.   It is our hope that as each prospective official completes the OHSAA officiating training class, the new official will feel comfortable and confident as they enter their officiating avocation.
