2024 District Tournament Information
DIVISION I - October 8 and 11, 2024
The Division I Central District Girls Tennis Tournament will consist of sixteen singles winners and sixteen doubles team winners. The District Tournament Bracket is pre-drawn and will be posted following sectional play.
October 8 - Upper Arlington High School, 1625 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington 43221. Shaun Stamps, Manager. P: 614-395-1368; Email: [email protected].
Coaches will meet at the Upper Arlington tennis courts on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 8:45 a.m. to receive final instructions. Play will begin at 9:00 a.m.
 
October 11, 2024 - Columbus Academy, 4300 Cherry Bottom Road, Gahanna 43230. Mike O'Callaghan, Manager, C: 614-314-4900, Email: [email protected]. 
On Friday, October 11, Division I and II District competition will be held at Columbus Academy. Coaches will meet at the Columbus Academy tennis courts at 8:45 a.m. and play will start at 9:00 a.m.  
 
Should weather or other emergency cause the tournament to be postponed, the tournament will be completed on October 9, 10, 13 or 14, 2024 with times preferably not missing school.  Coaches and players are expected to be available for play as necessary during the make-up dates.
 
Division I State Tournament Qualifiers:  Four singles winners and four doubles teams winner will advance to the State Tournament.
 
DIVISION II - October 8 and 11, 2024
The Division II Central District Girls Tennis Tournament will consist of six singles winners and six doubles team winners from the Central District and two singles and two doubles team winners from the East District. The District Tournament Bracket is pre-drawn and will be posted following sectional play.

2024 CDAB TOURNAMENT SEEDING - SEPTEMBER 17-22

2024 Central District Girls Tennis Tournament Seeding Information was emailed to the Athletic Director at each participating school on September 3, 2024. The instructions were emailed from [email protected]. Athletic Directors: please check your inbox, junk or spam folder for this important email. Contact your school's IT department to ensure delivery of emails from this email address.
COACHES SEEDING LOGIN
Seeding:  All seeding will be conducted on-line using the Central District web site (OHSAA.org/CDAB) complete instructions were sent to the Athletic Director for distribution to the head coach.  All participant entries (singles, doubles teams, and eligible substitutions) will be collected online through OHSAA.org/CDAB and must be submitted prior to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.  
PLEASE NOTE: Schools that submit participant entries of four or more players will be seeded.  Schools competing with three or fewer players will not participate in the team seeding process, and will be assigned to a sectional site by the tournament coordinator. 
MANDATORY Coaches Meetings: There will be TWO mandatory virtual meetings of coaches to select a sectional site and to place participating athletes on the tournament brackets.
On Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 8:00 p.m., coaches will meet virtually to select their sectional tournament site.  
 
On Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., coaches will meet virtually to seed individual players and doubles teams.  After the seeding is complete, participants will be placed on the tournament brackets.  Both meetings are MANDATORY and schools will be penalized for not participating.
Virtual Coaches Meeting Information: Bob Britton ([email protected]) will email each coach the links to their specific required coaches meetings prior to those meetings.  Coaches are encouraged to print any materials provided in those emails to expedite the selection process. 
 
Please adhere to the seeding and meeting deadlines below as there are penalties for each missed deadline.
  • Tuesday, September 17, 2024 
    • 12:00 noon - Seeding Information and Tournament Roster Due (names and grades of players)
    • 3:00 p.m. - Team Seeding Voting Begins
  • Wednesday, September 18, 2024 - 9:00 p.m. - Team Seed Voting Ends
  • Thursday, September 19, 2024 - 8:00 p.m. - VIRTUAL MANDATORY MEETING OF COACHES (using Microsoft Teams) to select sectional tournament site.  
  • Sunday, September 22, 2024 - 2:00 p.m. - VIRTUAL MANDATORY MEETING OF COACHES (using Microsoft Teams) to seed and place participants on tournament brackets.     
VIRTUAL MANDATORY COACHES MEETINGS using MICROSOFT TEAMS: 
All coaches must participate in the mandatory VIRTUAL coaches meetings.
