OHSAA Officiating Department Intern Opening

POSITION
  • Officiating Department Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Assist the Officiating Department in duties to enhance officiating programs.
  • Provide technical support via telephone, electronically, and in person to officials regarding their officiating profiles.
  • Will work 20-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, depending on applicant’s availability and seasonality of position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS DESIRED
  • Exceptional display of professionalism, ethics and integrity with ability to cope with unforeseen situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and act decisively.
  • Must be a good administrator, team builder, ambassador and partner.
  • Must demonstrate skills in computers with ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite as well as various web browsers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially, be sensitive to legal issues and maintain a strong orientation toward customer service.
  • Strong communications skills with ability to make effective written, oral and electronic communications.
  • Preferred: knowledge/familiarity of OHSAA officials’ processes (including myOHSAA functions).
COMPENSATION
  • Rate: $10 per hour
TIMELINE FOR COMPLETING EMPLOYMENT PROCESS
  • April 12, 2019 — Deadline for submitting applications.
  • April 8 – April 19, 2019 — Interviews and selection.
  • May 15-31, 2019 – Official start date.
  • May-June, 2020 – Official end date.
