The OHSAA Track and Field State Championships Through the Years
The OHSAA track and field meet is one of the largest high school track meets in the country, with approximately 14,000 fans attending the competition both days to watch more than 1,900 student-athletes represent their schools.

Since 2004, the state meet has been held at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University. The event was first held at Denison University in 1908, then at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1909. From 1910-1923, it was held at Ohio Field on the Ohio State University campus before moving to new Ohio Stadium in 1924. The championships remained there through 1998, except in 1970 when campus unrest at OSU caused the meets to move to Upper Arlington High School for the Class A state meet and Gahanna Lincoln for the Class AA state meet. When the track was removed from Ohio Stadium in 1999, the state meet was held at Dayton Welcome Stadium from 1999-2003.
