The Southwest District was very well represented at Canton this year.
Boys Swimming & Diving - Division I
In Division I Boys Swimming, the Southwest District had 4 teams finish in the top 10. Placing 1st as State Champions was St. Xavier High School. Following in second place was Sycamore High School, 4th Place Mason High School, and 10th place Kings High School.
The Southwest District placed first in 8 individual events and 1 relay. We set 6 new State Records.
Adam Chaney of Mason took 1st place in the 50 Free & 100 Free. Both were State Records.
Carson Forster of Sycamore took 1st place in the 200 Free & 100 Back. Both were State Records.
Jake Forster of Sycamore took 1st place in the 100 Breast & 200 IM. Both were State Records.
Jacob McDonald of Lakota East took 1st place in the 500 Free.
Jean-Pierre Khouzam of St. Xavier took 1st place in the 100 Fly.
Sycamore won the 200 Medley Relay and set a new State Record.
Girls Swimming & Diving - Division I
In Division I Girls Swimming, the Southwest District had four teams finish in the top ten. Taking 1st place as State Champions is Mason High School. Following in 6th place was Ursuline Academy, 8th place Centerville HIgh School, and 10th place Springboro High School.
The girls took 1st place in 3 individual events and set 1 new State Record.
Megan Glass of Ursuline Academy took 1st place in the 200 Free & 100 Fly. She set a new State Record in the butterfly.
Morgan Southall of West Clermont took 1st place in diving.
Boys Swimming & Diving - Division II
The Southwest District had 4 teams that finished in the top 10: Seven Hills (4th), Indian Hill (6th), Mariemont (7th), and Hamilton Badin (10th).
We took 1st place in 4 individual events and set 1 new State Record.
Owen Conley of Waynesville took 1st place in the 200 Free & 200 IM. He set a new State Record in the individual medley.
Kevin Leibold of Kettering Alter took 1st place in the 500 Free.
Ilya Gerasimchuk of Wyoming took 1st place in diving.
Girls Swimming & Diving - Division I
The Southwest District had 2 teams finish in the top 10--Seven Hills (5th) and Mariemont (6th).
We took 1st place in 3 individual events and set 1 new State Record.
Cora Dupre of Mariemont took 1st place in the 100 Free & 200 Free. She set a new State Record in the 200 free.
Emma Shuppert of Seven Hills took 1st place in the 100 Back.
