Brecksville-Broadview Heights claims its 15th-straight state team title
 
HILLIARD, Ohio – The Brecksville-Broadview Heights gymnastics team claimed its 15th-straight state team title at the 2018 OHSAA Gymnastics State Tournament Friday at Hilliard Bradley High School.
 
The Bees earned first in all four events on their way to a final score of 146.7. They had winning scores of 37.150 on vault, 36.175 on uneven bars, 35.775 on balance beam and 37.60 on floor exercise.
 
Thornville Sheridan won its first runner-up trophy in school history for gymnastics, finishing with a total score of 142.7. Mentor finished third with a score of 142.550, its fifth-consecutive top-three finish. Rocky River Magnificat finished fourth with a final score of 141.250, its third-consecutive top-three finish.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Emily Huffman Wins State Tournament All Around Competition
 
HILLIARD, Ohio – Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Emily Huffman earned the 2018 OHSAA Gymnastics All Around title Saturday afternoon at Hilliard Bradley High School. It’s the sixth-consecutive year a Brecksville Broadview Heights gymnast has won the individual all-around competition.
 
Huffman finished with a total score of 37.525, surpassing junior Madeline Berrey from North Canton Hoover by just .025 points. Huffman finished first on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.550, tied for second on balance beam with a score of 9.350 and finished fourth on floor with a score of 9.425.
 
Berrey placed first on vault with a score of 9.550 and first on balance beam with a score of 9.475. She also placed second on floor exercise with a score of 9.500.
           
Toledo Whitmer senior Victoria Harder won the floor exercise with a score of 9.525.
