Division I
MASON, Ohio – The 45th annual OHSAA Girls Tennis Division I State Tournament concluded Saturday afternoon at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
 
In the Division I singles final, Cincinnati St. Ursula Academy senior Elizabeth Pendergast secured a state championship win with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 victory over Shyla Aggarwal, a sophomore from Mason.
 
The third place Division I singles match included freshman Tess Bucher from North Canton Hoover and sophomore Lilly Black from Whitehouse Anthony Wayne. Black secured the third-place finish by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
 
The Division I doubles championship included Upper Arlington junior Megan Basil and senior Ella Hazelbaker facing off against Centerville freshman Clara Owen and sophomore Caroline Hinshaw. Basil and Hazelbaker secured their state championship by a score of 7-6, 6-3.
 
Upper Arlington senior Noah Mizer and sophomore Ava Richard won the Division I doubles third-place match after battling Rocky River Magnificat sophomore Caroline Moritz and freshman Natalie Smitek, 6-2, 6-0.
 
 
Division II
MASON, Ohio – The 45th annual OHSAA Girls Tennis Division II State Tournament concluded Saturday afternoon at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
 
Eaton sophomore Macy Hitchcock won the singles state championship, her first, after defeating Gahanna Columbus Academy senior Sydni Ratliff, 7-6, 7-5. Ratliff earned three runner-up and one championship finish in her high school tennis career.
 
The third place Division II singles match included Kettering Archbishop Alter junior Grace Lampman and Pepper Pike Orange Sophomore Alexis Nyborg. Lampman was victorious with a score of 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.
 
In the doubles final, Dayton Oakwood junior Sarah Hall and senior Natalie Connelly defeated Columbus Wellington School junior Alexis Burkhalter and sophomore Katie Zerbi, 6-2, 6-4. Connelly secured a third-place finish for Dayton Oakwood in the 2019 doubles state tournament while Burkhalter and Zerbi finished fourth as a duo.
 
The third-place Division II doubles match included Toledo Central Catholic juniors Bella and Lucia Spinazza along with Lima Bath seniors Ruby and Esther Bolon. The Spinazza sisters secured the third-place finish with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
