UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio � Thomas Worthington
defeated Columbus Academy 3-2 in the first semifinal game of the OHSAA
state field hockey tournament that began Friday at Upper Arlington High
School.
Thomas Worthington
(17-1-2) will play in the championship game Saturday looking to win its
third OHSAA field hockey state championship. They previously won titles
in 1988 and 2007. Eight-time state champion Columbus Academy finishes
the year 19-1-0.

Height Hathaway Brown 1-0 in the second semifinal game of the OHSAA
state field hockey tournament that began Friday at Upper Arlington High
School.
St. Ursula (13-5-1) will
play Thomas Worthington in the championship game Saturday. The Bulldogs
are looking to win their first OHSAA field hockey championship.
Two-time state champion Hathaway Brown finishes the year 16-2-1.

St. Ursula Academy defeated Thomas Worthington 1-0 in the championship
game of the OHSAA state field hockey tournament Saturday at Upper
Arlington High School.
St. Ursula sophomore
Maggie Winstel scored the game�s only goal at the 13:43 mark of the
second half. Junior Elley Frank was credited with the assist. The
Bulldogs senior goalkeeper Ellen Ryan made 10 saves en route to the
shutout victory.
St. Ursula (14-5-1)
wins its first OHSAA field hockey state title in its first appearance in
the championship game. This was only the Bulldogs� second appearance in
the field hockey state final four, making their first appearance in
2009. Thomas Worthington (17-2-1), making its fifth final four
appearance, becomes the state runner-up for its first time.
