Coldwater Girls Bowling Wins Back-to-Back State
Championships
Cavaliers junior Erica Hartings claims individual
title
COLUMBUS, Ohio � It took all five games for top seeded Coldwater to
dispatch No. 3 seed Hubbard 3-2 in the state title match of the 2013 OHSAA
girls bowling state championships at Wayne Webb�s Columbus Bowl Friday
evening.
With the championship win, Coldwater becomes the first girls team to win
back-to-back titles and the first girls team to win two championships in the
seven years of the event.
In a championship match that was back and forth, Hubbard won games one and
four, with Coldwater winning games two, three and five, prevailing over the
Eagles 180-171 in the deciding game.
In the individual competition Coldwater junior Erika Hartings took home top
honors with a three-game score of 648. Hartings� teammate, junior Kelsey
Koesters, was runner-up with a score of 618. Cincinnati McAuley junior Lexi
Baker and Cardington-Lincoln teammates, sophomore Esther Elliot and senior
Morgan Edgell, rounded out the top-five finishers.

Canfield Wins First Boys Bowling State
Championship
Versailles� Michael Davidson wins
individual title
COLUMBUS, Ohio � No. 4 seed Canfield defeated No. 3 seed
Kettering Fairmont 3-1 to win the Cardinals� first bowling title in the
2013 OHSAA boys bowling state championships at Wayne Webb�s Columbus
Bowl Saturday evening.
Canfield was able to claim its first title by defeating Kettering
Fairmont in the first, third and fourth games of the championship match.
In individual competition, Versailles junior Michael Davidson led the
field, rolling a three game score of 664 to win the state title.
Fairport Harbor Fairport Harding senior Cody Zalar finished as runner-up
with a score of 645 and Canfield junior Paul Harris, Kettering Fairmont
senior Daulton Cooper and Marion Elgin junior Kyle Hall all rolled
scores of 643 to tie for third-place and round out the top five
finishers.
