Congratulations to our Scholar-Athlete Recipients!

Recipients were honored at the 31st Scholar-Athlete Reception on June 23, at the Dayton Marriott.  Ohio High School Athletic Association Scholarships, Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Scholarships, and Southwest District Board Member Honorary and Memorial Scholarships were presented to a total of forty-eight individuals.   View a list of our Scholar-Athlete Recipients

2026-2027 Southwest District Athletic Board Updates

Congratulations to our newly appointed officers of the SWDAB, Mr. Tim Cook, President and Mr. Chuck Richardson, Vice-President.

The board has also selected interim candidates to the Southwest District Athletic Board:
Division A, Mr. Sean Herbert, Athletic Director, Yellow Springs High School
Division AAA, Mr. Chip Hare, Director of Athletics, Piqua High School

The board thanks and recognizes Mr. Andy Bixler and Mr. Scott Kaufman for their many years of service to the Southwest District Athletic Board.  Although they will be missed, we are thankful that their dedication to athletics continues at the state level.  We wish them well and are proud of their continued contributions.  

Mr. Bixler was first elected to the SWDAB in 2004 and served continuously for 21 years until accepting a position with the OHSAA at the end of the school year.

Mr. Scott Kaufman served on the SWDAB for 16 years, from 2008 to 2011, and 2013 to 2026.  Mr. Kaufman has also accepted a position with the OHSAA.

The Southwest District Athletic Board is looking forward to, once again, providing outstanding tournaments in coordination with our dedicated managers and top facilities to provide our student-athletes with the best opportunities available!  We are SOUTHWEST PROUD!
